A DAY AT THE BEACH

Living in a city that has a beach makes such a big difference, even though The Hague is far from being the first place that comes to your mind when you think of it. This year has been pretty cold and I am really looking forward to those warm sunny days. Despite the cold and gloomy weather, I often go to the beach on weekends. The sea and the relaxing atmosphere calms me down, and whenever I am there it feels as if I am on vacation. Today I discovered that the beach bars are welcoming their first visitors, so I officially opened the season! 🙂 There was even some live music at the pier.     Advertisements

SPRING IN DEN HAAG

We’ve been getting so much sunshine the past week here in the Netherlands. Even though it is still not as warm as I like it, I’ve slowly started to pull out my summer clothes and I’ve left all sweaters behind. Making sure not to miss the sunny weather, I headed to Scheveningen on Sunday. I planned a lovely lunch at The Harbour Club and took a walk around the area. I highly recommend this restaurant – incredible food and amazing view of the boats in front!
