Summer is slowly coming to an end and want it or not, sooner than you think, you will be pulling out the sweaters out of your closet. If you love the beach as much as I do and don’t want summer to be over just yet, here is an idea for you – go to Algarve, Portugal. This is the South part of the country, full of amazing beaches. And chances are that even end of September will have perfect weather for the beach 🙂 I landed in Faro and stayed in Pine Cliffs Resort, which is a short drive away from Albufeira. Its breath-taking beach location offers you unique views over the ocean. I fell in love with the interior of the place. The resort also has a great bar with a lovely view over the ocean. Don’t miss the sunset there. Enjoy a glass of wine as the sun sets behind the cliffs. Since I was only there for four days and with so many things to do and lovely places to see, the …
Today’s post is about Delft – the charming and picturesque city in the South of Holland. It’s an absolute must-see. The city is full of history, culture and beautiful architecture. There really is something for everyone in Delft. You can enjoy a nice walk around the many canals that go through the city, have a cold beer while observing life around you, or even take a boat trip around the city. It is not very big and in a day you can see a lot of it. Something interesting for the art lovers – the painter Vermeer lived and worked in Delft almost his whole life. In Delft you can discover more about his life. And if you want some peace and quiet, the Botanical garden can offer you just that. It is easy to reach Delft by public transport. I like to travel by train. Now lets take a stroll…
If you’ve been in The Netherlands, you’ve heard about Keukenhof – the most gorgeous flower garden here. I was lucky to visit it on a sunny and warm day. Keukenhof is closed as of today but take a look at the pictures and plan a trip there next spring! You will love it! I was wishing I could live there. xx Adriana
My Cuban adventure is unfortunately over but I have memories to last a lifetime! The people, the views, the sea, the smells, the sounds; they’re all still with me. Going through my pictures I can relive every moment. It was so beautiful I could not believe my eyes, so I literally jumped from happiness 🙂 If you know me well, you’re probably already tired of me talking about Cuba and showing you all the photos, but for those of you who don’t – I take you now to Cuba! 🙂 April is a good time to visit as the weather doesn’t get too hot. When booking, keep in mind that May is the rainy season. Other than that, you should have sun and perfect weather all the time 🙂 It was already my second time in Cuba, so I went to a different place – Cayo Guillermo, an island on the North side of Cuba. Most important for me when going on such holiday is to choose a place with a beautiful beach and I made no mistake. …
I had such a wonderful time in Cuba. It has been over a year since my last trip there. It will take some time to sort out all the photos to share with you but please bear with me. I can’t wait to tell you all about it! : )
Life lately… The days are getting longer and sunnier and my happiness levels are rising : ) It’s springtime, by far my favourite time of the year in Holland. It’s time for leather jackets, beach and rose wine. What I’ll never get tired of are those lazy weekends at the beach in Den Haag. I’m blessed to be living so close to the beach. And I obviously get there by bike. You can hardly survive living here without cycling : ) I also finally bough the Rayban sunglasses I’ve been wanting and wore them all day at the beach. Getting ready for the Cuban sun in a week : )))
Living in a city that has a beach makes such a big difference, even though The Hague is far from being the first place that comes to your mind when you think of it. This year has been pretty cold and I am really looking forward to those warm sunny days. Despite the cold and gloomy weather, I often go to the beach on weekends. The sea and the relaxing atmosphere calms me down, and whenever I am there it feels as if I am on vacation. Today I discovered that the beach bars are welcoming their first visitors, so I officially opened the season! 🙂 There was even some live music at the pier.
We’ve been getting so much sunshine the past week here in the Netherlands. Even though it is still not as warm as I like it, I’ve slowly started to pull out my summer clothes and I’ve left all sweaters behind. Making sure not to miss the sunny weather, I headed to Scheveningen on Sunday. I planned a lovely lunch at The Harbour Club and took a walk around the area. I highly recommend this restaurant – incredible food and amazing view of the boats in front!
I love going through my photos and instantly returning to those places, the moments, the vibes, the thrill of it all. Pictures bring me back to the good feelings that I felt, the people I was with, and the things that I saw. These images truly depict the spirit of my weekend, dancing all my worries away, being lost in a state of trance. Do you go to any festivals?
With our busy schedules, it is difficult to get home every day, pour a glass of nice wine, lie on the couch under a warm blanked and unwind. For me at least, this is rarely ever the case. There are always tons of other things to do just before that and those things usually take up pretty much my whole evening. I would really love to be able to cuddle up and just relax more often. So what makes you feel cozy at home and wanting to return to it every day? Comfy couch, nice bed, candles? What makes your home feel pleasant? Please tell me : )
